Great meeting last night and good to see everybody.. I couldn’t hear a lot of what was being said at the other end of the table, but from what I could gather, the ones of us who were there think it would be fun to have a 45^th next summer. . I think we have enough time to put something together that would be fun and agreeable to everyone who puts it all together. . being an “odd” year reunion, I like the idea of pitching it to as many class members first as we can reach.. I’ll put an email together for John Coleman, who has said he will be glad to help with electronic communication.. Steve Carson at JHS will keep things updated for us on the JHS reunion web site . .

 

Also, if you have worked on any reunions or attended any then you know we were missing someone very important last night. . Steve Grilletta .. he is has oral cancer that has spread and has been receiving treatments – chemo and a tumor growth inhibitor- through the spring and this summer .. please keep he and Michelle in your thoughts and prayers.

Still Having "Meetings"

Every 3rd Tuesday of every month at Pieros Restaurant..upstairs at The Spot. Just a little get-together for all who want to come and visit. Starts at 7:00 pm and goes on till everyone leaves. It's fun.

Yep, I've been getting calls for the last two days from people coming in for the Reunion. So, If you are still on the fence about coming then here is a big kick to the fence. COME ON!!!!!
• Hurricane flags will be flown on the top of the press box
• The band and the students will sit on the visitor side
• In recent years the students have a designated section at the basketball games they call the "Dog Pound", they want the student section at the football games to be called the "Storm Cellar" ;-)
• They are looking for a storm siren to crank out during the game
• The welcome reception is at The RidgePointe Country Club until 11:30
• Downtown Jonesboro is Open Late and guess what... It's Quite "Wet".
• Saturday is full of different events and things to do with the big PARTY at the CHURCH STREET STATION beginning at 7:00 pm.

A Reunion weekend.. WHOA!!!

The classes of 1967, 1968,1978,1983,1988,and1998.. are all having their reunions the weekend of Oct. 10 and 11th.. The big game is between the Hurricane and Mountain Home. The field is brand new this year and the seating arrangements have been changed to accommodate all these reunions.....
SO>>> Lets go to the game and OPEN THE ROOF... for the GOLDEN HURRICANE.

PLANNING MEETINGS

Planning meetings are every other Tuesday night at Pieros' The Spot, in downtown Jonesboro. They begin at 6:30 pm and are officially over by 9:00pm. The next Tuesday meeting is Aug. 5th , then Aug. 19th and so on until the reunion.
